Description

The term is used to describe clocks and watches that tell the time of day as well as measure a certain period of time, like a stopwatch. Would have also liked the month displayed as well as day and day of month but that’s a minor niggle.

We welcome all manufacturers including Casio G-Shock, OMEGA, Rolex, Breitling, Rolex and Tudor, Seiko, Grand Seiko and others. Despite the bulges, it doesn’t appear to be a homage of the Patek Nautilus or any other watch for that matter; if anything it looks like some form of mid-range modern Seiko. I won't focus on this too much in each mini-review as they both share the same features as far as this LCD/movement go: daily radio sync so the watch is always synced to the atomic clock signal, and solar powered so no battery change, winding or "Seiko shuffle" required. This spans from their classic calculators and synthesisers to their number one: assortment of watches. Your view on the 'wearability' advantages of the M100 (due to lug differences and band flexibility etc.A while back I was looking for a titanium, solar, radio-sync watch to fill the Casio Oceanus-shaped hole in my collection. Casio is confident that you can swim in this watch, as is evident from one of the pages in the brick of a manual that is provided. I have had a basi WV58 digital Wave Ceptor watch for years and have become accustomed to its to-the-second accuracy.

I struggle to decide which dial i like most, but the lack of lume on the sportier one is very VERY annoying as it would be an easy choice without that problem. I am certain that many reading this (my first post here) know way more than I do about these topics. There's other colors available- a white/positive LCD, a black/negative LCD, and an all-black PVD version. There are also frequently asked questions, a product rating and feedback from users to enable you to optimally use your product. The bottom-right button cycles through 3 modes- day/date, seconds (mirroring the seconds hand), and the current time (mirroring the hour and minute hands). However the bottom 3 indices are cut short by the LCD, which is a necessary sacrifice given how small the dial is in comparison.

While this does a good job of protecting the watch while in transit, I do wish they would update the dated faux-carbon looking design to something that doesn’t look straight out of the late 90s. The cherry on top is the ‘Tough Solar’ technology, which is Casio’s solar-powered equivalent of Citizen’s Eco-drive. The daily alarm reminds you of daily recurring events, in which an acoustic signal is emitted at the set time. The features of the Casio is damn hard to beat, but the 200M water resist is nice and i think the Citizen looks a bit classier. The design of the watch make it wear smaller- the smaller dial with the indices squeezed in, the squat lugs that turn down, and the less angular look to the case all contribute to that.
