About this deal

The HS8 is equipped with XLR and TRS jack connectors as well as Room Control and Hi Trim response controls.

Ever since the 1970’s the iconic white woofer and signature sound of Yamaha’s nearfield reference monitors have become a genuine industry standard for a reason – their accuracy. They also have a delayed muting circuit on startup, avoiding loud thumps when powering them up along-id a mixer via a power distribution unit. This massive boxes are built and designed very good, the only thing that is silly is the controls on the back. The Yamaha HS 8 studio monitor is not only visually reminiscent of its predecessor, but just like the latter, it has what it takes to be a reference monitor. Our company has a solid financial basis to trade and all premises are owned in full by the directors. Ultra-responsive woofers allow the HS Series speakers to produce a well-defined bottom-end at any output level.

The highs are very detailed but not overly bright the mids are open accurate and fast and the lows are very punchy, dynamic and tightly controlled all the way down to 40Hz and below. You can find these monitors in professional studios and is designed by the same person who designed the legendary ns10 Yamaha monitors. With a suitable monitor controller, you can listen to your work on two different pairs of speakers and better assess the quality of your mix. Acknowledged by professional sound engineers and producers to deliver an unflinchingly honest reflection of your mixes. The bi-amped design of the HS5 means there's a separate amp for both the woofer and the tweeter ensuring high-resolution sound.

HS Series cabinets are designed to eliminate unwanted resonance and increase the accuracy of sound reproduction to their extreme limit. You have to learn the location of the on / off button to hit it without looking, and volume control is just a normal knob so it takes some effort to make both speakers equally loud, because you can't how it's set since it's hidden behind.Drawing from Yamaha's over 100 years of piano design experience, HS Series engineers also employed a traditional three-way mitered-joint technique. Conclusion: there must have been some sort of compatibility issue with my old E-MU sound card, as from the moment I installed Focusrite - no problems whatsover.
