About this deal

I thought, “and if this one portion of it is so powerful, what dynamic is contained in its entirety? I thought to myself, "This is the most beautiful music I have ever heard," and while I "knew" that I had never heard it before, it felt familiar to me. JAPJI SAHIB is a universal sacred hymn(prayer) about God and creation, composed by Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of the Sikh faith. Initially I deliberately chose not to question or analyze the way that this bani instantly took up residence within me.

The unique translation incorporated therein has the same number of words in English as are there in the original Punjabi rendering in Gurmukhi. This scripture titled “ Japji Sahib – the Light of Guru Nanak for the World“, was given to the Sikh Museum at the Golden Temple. At the point when the last of the Human Gurus departed this Earth, the Guruship was passed to the Holy Book, the Sri Guru Granth Sahib ( SGGS). The Ten Gurus of Sikhism were responsible for the creation of this faith which took place over period 1469 to 1708 - a period of about 239 years. His first book 'JAPJI Sahib: A Complete Way of Life' attempts to interpret the premier rendering (Daily Morning Prayer) contained in the Sikh Scripture 'Shri Guru Granth Sahib' in English. The composition is not assigned to any particular raga or musical measure, as is the rest of the Scriptural text. We are grateful to Jiwan Randhir Singh (aka Timothy Teruo Watters), the artist who created the beautiful artwork for each language translation.

Die Absicht scheint immer zu sein nicht den Verstand zu befriedigen, sondern etwas tieferes in uns zu berühren, das Herz, die Seele. The company was excellent, I always learn so much from others in this safe space where we are free to be honest and open. Few such important concepts are ‘Guru’, ‘Baani/Gurbaani’, ‘Hukam’, ‘Maaya’, ‘Man’, ‘Haumain’, ‘Naam/Shabad’, ‘Sat/Sach/Waheguru’ and ‘Simran’.My immersion in Sanskrit mantra had helped me recover from a debilitating bout with chronic fatigue that had begun in 1994 and lasted for seven long and painful years.
