So there you have it, our top 5 best Sekonda watches for men. Personally, I’ve always been a fan of the Sekonda brand, sure they don’t target the luxury market, but that’s why I love them. They create stylish yet affordable watches which are perfect for anyone who’s just getting into the watch market. Need help adjusting your bracelet? We offer a free of charge service to remove or add bracelet links. Or to save you time, in some cases we can simply send out additional links so you can adjust your watch at home.

However. Having said all that I do still, perversely, quite like the watch. I wanted a timepiece with a large readable face and one that I could see in the dark. I have that. Two of the biggest factories at the time were the 1st Moscow Watch Factory and the Petrodvorets Watch Factory. The former produced Poljot and Sturmanskie watches and the latter made Raketa. This next model presents three sub-dials in a more refined and restrained design. It's a clean, simple look with a root beer colour palette. It's tasteful and understated.

As long as you remember that Sekonda is a mass-market watch brand, you will be ok. Bear in mind the low price-point and that you're not shopping for a Rolex and you won't have to worry about the quality.

The rest of the design continues this. The hands, date window and chronograph pushers are all reminiscent of the Swiss original. Primarily, Sekonda watches are known for their variety of styles and affordability. For these reasons and the average retail price point, the brand is frequently compared with Casio, Pulsar, and Citizen.Because of its UK connection, it’s sometimes also compared to Accurist, another affordable English brand. Is Sekonda A Good Watch Brand? All our watches are designed in our head offices in the UK. By buying with us, you know you are always getting a classic, British design. Sekonda smart watches have a water resistance rating of IP68. Our watches are protected from dust and continuous immersion in water up to a depth of 1.5 metres for a maximum of 30 minutes but is not recommended for swimming or watersports. The watch has a water resistance rating of IP67, meaning that it is protected from submersion up to a depth of 1 meter for a maximum of 30 minutes but is not recommended for swimming or watersports.

You can wear this watch with a suit or as a slightly sporty model. The touch of colour and the sub-dials will work in most environments. It's hard to pin down the style and I like that. I'm rather dubious about the accuracy of both the heartbeat and blood pressure functions. It usually records my heartbeat as being roughly 10bmp fewer than they are. All my life I have had hypotension yet this smart watch invariably records my blood pressure as being within normal perameters, even when the old fashioned sphygmomanometer and stethoscope used simultaneously contradict this.

It can be hard for a manufacturer to capture both the functionality and design needed in this style. There's not much budget, but there is a lot of complication. This is an uncomplicated piece, but with a colourful take on a popular dive watch style. The features that you'd expect are here. A mid-sized case with crown guards and a rotating bezel. It has a reliable quartz movement and a chunky crown that is protected by crown guards. It's also splash-proof and has a mineral crystal. Up to a certain point, you can. A standard Sekonda watch has a Japanese movement and a stainless steel case. They will usually have at least 50M of water resistance. Powering this men’s watch is a quartz movement, these are battery powered movements that offer you reliable and accurate timekeeping. A mineral crystal glass lens also offers you a good level of resistance against scratches and shattering. You’ll be pleased to find out this model also has a 50m water resistance rating, not bad for a watch in this price range.Undoubtedly, Sekonda has done an amazing job branding itself as an affordable watch company. While others died out in the aftermath of the quartz crisis, Sekonda saw it as an opportunity to create cheaper yet still reliable timepieces. When various brands flooded the market, Sekonda still survived because of its style innovations and marketing campaigns. In fact, not only did the brand survive but it thrived. Ideally, the knurled crown would be bigger, but it's not a major issue. The fact there is 50m of water resistance, making the watch splash-proof, is a bonus. It's okay, but only okay. As a straight forward watch it functions well. Disappointing that there's a stopwatch but no timer function.
